Ceramic heaters. I purchased the honeywell hz-370e which is the table top version of hz-385e. Its lasted less than three months with only occasional use and now it just sits there making a high pitched noise with no heating every time i switch it on. I dont know if this is indicative of other manufacturers or the nature of the design but i do know that i wont be buying any more ceramic heaters especially ones made by honeywell.
